Keep Track of the Activities of the Association for People Entertain.
The Vergeniging voor Volksvermaken was founded on 26 June 1874 and received the title Royal in its 100th anniversary. The reason for the establishment of the association was the desire to give the celebration of Groningen Relief on 28 August a firmer and more sustainable foundation. The Vereeniging consists of 100% volunteers. People who are happy to work for the residents of Stad and Ommeland.
The Royal Association for Volksvermaken aims to organize festive events annually for the residents of Stad and Ommeland of Groningen. According to years of tradition, these are:
- Groningen relieved on August 28
- distributing feed beets with Sint Martinus to the Groningen school youth
- The entry of Sinterklaas
- Arrensleden competitions in the winter
